This stuff has a fairly short shelf life HUH?
So what does Alumilite have to do with engraving
Alumilite is one of the brands of products used to make cast reproductions of engraving.
It is poured into an RTV molding made from the engraved item to cure and solidify.
It can produce an exact copy of the engraving.
Wonderful tools for teaching engraving or record keeping.[/QUOTE
Thanks .......... I use the stuff for making fishing lures. Never thought of it for engraving
Smooth On was my go to resin for molding and casting. Bigger selection for both molding and casting.I use Smooth-On for the rubber mold & the castings,www.smooth-on.com very easy to use. J.J.
