You are SO right, Allan. The engraver today has a wide variety of tool choices and instructional opportunities. It's amazing to look around and see how fast people are progressing in such a short amount of time. Andrew Biggs is a good example of this. / ~Sam

I can understand how the index plates would be a definite time saver and the precision offered in three decimal places would be great too.

I do use the Lindsay patent grind and I am able to achieve it fairly well with the GRS Dual Angle fixture.

At my current skill level, I think what I need to do mostly is PRACTICE!

Paul, i've seen some of your miniatures (unfortunately just pictures) and tools and just based on that, I would think the fixture is everything you say it is, and probably more.
