Carving a picnic basket

I thought a few of you might enjoy this. I'm finishing up a large limestone trees tump tombstone with a lot of personal details; elements that tell of the couple's lives together. I just posted a timelapse video on youtube, carving the rattan picnic basket.

Traditional hat for carvers. We need to wear a hat to keep the dust off our hair, these are the most comfortable of any. They're most prevalent in Italy, partly because in warm or hot weather they let your head stay cool (heat doesn't build up like it does inside a cloth hat) and they don't cost anything (even up to the 1970's carvers were paid very little).
