Completely non-traditional but thought you might get a kick out of it.
It started out as a new Wiley Clapp Commander. It received upgraded parts, trigger job, reliability work, bobbed grip safety, match bushing and a host of other goodies including the flames and handmade walnut stocks. Everything but the hard chrome plating was done in my shop. As always, thanks for looking.

I know the flames don't suit everyone's taste, that's for sure. The owner is a big fan of old school hot rods and had a very specific vision for the look of the pistol.

Cool. I did some flames on the barrel of S&W once , gold plated them, and engraved Repent on the muzzle end. It was done a for a gospel singer at the time.

I admit to having a 50's hot rod mentality and love flames on most items, guns included. I have gold flames on the cylinder of the 1849 Colt pocket pistol reproduction that serves as the gear shift knob on my '28 Model A R/P, which I bought in '56.

I too admit to being "lost in the fifties," with American Graffiti being my all time favorite movie. My son is also "lost in time" with me, as he built a '38 Chevy coupe while in high school. He was the only one in his school with a cool car, which was in 1987. And, I' m in the final stages of completing my resto-rodded '63 Chevy C10, which may get ghost flames.

That is neat Bill. I have plans for ghost flames on the hood of my '28 pickup to match the gold flames on the shifter knob. So little time and so much to do..........
