Engrave-ability of new Python?

I didn’t see it mentioned in the archive list. Has anyone worked on a new one recently? Any comments besides the barrel cannot be removed? TIA!

I did one. I thought it cut just fine. Pretty ungainly to hold in the vise, but doable.

The list of engrave-ability firearms was great when it was first put up. I don't think it has changed. It would be good if engravers would add ner guns to the list.

be careful of a thin spot just above the cylinder release. Easy to go right through to the other side. Dont ask how I know.

Thanks for the tip, how did you fix it?... just curious, always like to know how to avoid or fix if possible.

fixed it with a spot of weld and then just stayed away from it.

Mitch I have cut one not too long ago. No problems with hardness But maneuvering that six inch barrel was a challenge

I never removed a barrel from a pistol for engraving only rifle's and shot gun. J.J.
