Ken,Mr.Prudhomme send everyone in the engraver guild a practice plate to engrave anything they wanted,he sent me a nice letter complimenting me on my engraving.Wonder what ever happen to those plates? J.J.

He sent me one too, JJ. I don't know the whereabouts of those plates. Perhaps they're at the Norton museum, but that's just a guess. Prudhomme's display cases had many many engraving samples in them and I don't know the whereabouts of those either.

he sent me one also. he told me they would be placed in a museum in shreveport. i don't know if the plates ever made it to the museum. but that was prudhommes' original intention. i think he sent most of the blank plates to the then fega membership, of which i was one. he said he liked my design due to the different nature of it.
