Tira, I've always admired Sam's engraving and have been for the past, at least 10 yrs and want to attend his class when possible. If anyone has any scholarships out there that I don't know about, just holler :D

Hi Dwayne.
FEGA has a scollarship for engravers.
You can get the details from FEGA VP Jim Blair C/O fega@fega.com
It would be great to see you get some class time with Sam or one of the other fine instructors.
I'm sure you would get a lot out of it. Best of luck with your application.

I throw $20 a week into a wallet to save up money to go to BLADE and buy fun things. On rare occasions I'll have a little 'extra' money I can toss in as well. Keep at it and it adds up pretty good.

The ever-indulgent wife and I do the 'allowance' thing were we each get a certain amount of money each week for our own personal use. Main thing about it is that you can't complain about what the other person spends their own money on. I split my weekly bit in half - half I keep, the other half goes into my BLADE fund and a similar fund I keep just for presents for the ever-indulgent wife. Ok, some of her presents come (at least in part) out of 'my' money, and I get credit for things bought with 'our' money but the point I'm trying to make is that a piggy bank and consistency can be your friend in things like this.
