Hi Roger, There is my friend Pierre Lallemand and the one with the magnifying glass, it's me. It is also my hands that we see. They came to film our workshop a few minutes.
jean pierre,Thank's for the link, here a link I would like to share with you thegreatmodel8remingtonsociety.A few of these rifles were made at the FN factory at one time.I am a John M.Browning fan. J.J.Roberts
It gives you a little bit of an insight into custom made guns.
John Browning was a very interesting man as was a lot of the early gun pioneers. A really good book about him is John M. Browning American Gunmaker by John Browning and Carl Gentry. It's an interesting read about Browning himself and a social commentary of the times he lived in following the Mormon persecution and the migration to Salt Lake City. With all the tooling we have today it beggars the imagination that he hand filed from a solid block of metal the original Winchester, and it worked!!...............there is also an hilarious account of his first machine gun test fire in front of the American military hardware buyers of the time. A very good read all round.
