Thanks for the replies I hate to pay for memory if I don’t need it
Worst case scenario if you fill the iPad you could always pay for icloud or use Dropbox but I don’t think you will get to that point unless you have thousands of photos and hundreds of drawings.

On the off chance its still helpful, or someone is doing a search related to this later:
I have an iPad Air 4th gen with 64gig memory and an apple pencil, and find it's perfectly viable for drawing.

I mainly use procreate and have a ton of large drawings including some 300dpi A2 (16.5" x 23.4") canvases, hundreds and hundreds of reference photos and pictures (including an entire photographic copy of a 1800s heraldic coat of arms book, and of the Handbook of Ornament).
About half the memory is still free and I get no lag (well, except a little bit initially when I open the A2 canvases, but even my pc has to take it's time with them).

Tutorials in regards to what? The use of procreate or using an iPad in general? YouTube is a great resource for finding info on most topics. If I know more specifically what you’re looking for maybe I can point you in the right direction.

Something to consider is the resale value of your iPad a few years from now. If you have 512gb you'll have a much better chance to sell than if you have 128gb.

To answer your question, mine has 512 and I have lots of space leftover. My Photos app has thousands of photos that I should probably delete half of, and that's what taking up most space.

It´s difficult to recommend as we all use it different ways. I do a little of video editing just for fun as well and that really fills up quickly.. I have an M1 iPad Pro 512 GB and I´m considering an M4 iPad or if I can wait till next generation.. we´ll see, but I´m defiantly not going for less that 512 GB. Next up is 1 TB but that is a huge price step too.. the good thing about the USB-C iPad´s is that you can use external SSD drives.. when I fill up and have projects I want to take care of I transfer to an 1TB SSD to free up some space.

Just my personal view, but it´s true I´m using the iPad a lot! :) Good luck!
