Sam is very manly, and he is wearing his Crocs right now. We just returned from watching a very manly movie called "28 Weeks Later" that has all the qualifications of a manly movie...lots of blood and guts and gunfire and car chases and crashes and fire. and even zombies....and Sam had on his very manly crocs the whole time. ( he only screamed once)

I'll admit to having a pair. Mine are somewhat manly, they have the Broncos logo on 'em.:D And NO, I don't wear them in public, not even to a Broncos game.

Abigail, my wife wants to know where you got yours. She loves them. David

Hi David,
I got them at a uniform store in SLIDELL LA(985) 847-0294
LIFE UNIFORM & SHOE SHOP

My green flowery ones aren't the real crocs. The brand is called Veg. I think they were on sale for 19.99.
My crocs were 29.99 i think.
Anyway...the 'Vegs' are just as comfy as my Crocs and they aren't as wide. Very Soft, too.
I can't find a store online but I searched on ebay just now and they are like $5.99....ohhhh and they have more colors!!! Gotta Go.
CHEERS
Abigail P.S. Don't tell your wife until I order mine.:p ..I'm sure there will be some left.:D

Well, I didn't know they were a brand! Last year Sam told me they sold them at Bluestem's here in Emporia so that's where I got them. So I have no benchmark by which to compare them. These one's are called Ric's but they are really comfy.....now I'm going to have to look out for the real McCoy :(

Oh no Marcus! You are running around in knock offs?? Don't shave that head until you get the real McCoy.

I was just kidding. They look comfortable but don't they make your feet sweat. Aren't they made of rubber.

I don't think they should be worn when watching a Rocky, Rambo, or Clint Eastwood movies though.

Marcus,
They do real well in the rain and high water river crossings. I'm not sure about the knock offs.

I tried some on to quiet Miss Mary; told her if I wanted to walk on rocks I would just go bare-footed. Don't like those little knobbies.

Well, how was I to know they were knock offs? I didn't even know there was an original! Dumb Englishman, uh? Now the head shave will have to wait.

Marcus: Check out crocs.com and you should be able to ID the ones you have. Honestly, I'm not sure there's an appreciable difference in Crocs and the dozens of nearly identical brands. Abby has a pair made by another company and loves 'em. Crocs brand usually sell for around $30.

Actually, I think long before crocs ever came out there was another brand from somewhere like Lands End, or Cabelas. They were marketed as 'gardening shoes'. I used to see them in catalogs but they weren't crocs, and they weren't in the wild colors like the crocs.
I have a pair of Crocs and a pair of Vegs. I like the Vegs better...they are lighter and they fit better..Not so wide.
I do know some people that have bought the really cheap ones from the dollar stores or Walmart, and they said they are NOT as comfy as the crocs.
Thats my 48 cents.

The worst thing is, now I know I'm wearing a pair of knock-offs I'll never be able to shade as cleanly as Sam. When I saw Sam's shoes I knew this had to be the answer and if I could get just one tiny bit of advantage from wearing them then they must be the way to go! Too bad, you've all pointed out that unless they're real Crocs I don't stand a chance.......... Grasshopper say, "Perhaps there's a lesson to be learned here, eh Master Samuel?";)

Monk,
I supose you could do that...., but it might cause you to dance a jig from all the fireworks falling in the holes.

I don't know, I used to do the "spark stomp jig" when sparks went down the top of my bib overalls and ended up you know where!
