Well I finally got around to doing something of value, this is my first commissioned piece.

I was asked to do this Corby knife and as nervous as I was about messing it up I went for it. I am pleased at the way it came out, customer is pleased, even though I see many things to do better, gotta start somewhere and continue to strive to always do better, any suggestions for improvement would be appreciated, sure theres a lot haha .

This forum and the Lindsay forum have been such a big help to myself and I am sure to many many others As well. I say thank you to everyone.

I have come to learn that the engraving community is one filled with a lot of great people that are always willing to help one another. Many friendships are made.

I now have another Corby knife on the bench ready to do.

Over all it looks nice. I think the shading needs a little work, but a good first piece.

Keep scratching!!

nice for a first ! i also think if the background surrounfing the scroll would look way better if it had been stippled. such would provide a nice contrast. jmho
