Rual it's looking good. You say it's a work in progress, will it be blued or is it stainless? One thing I see is the background could be a little smoother looks like there's some high spots, but as you say it's in progress.
I hope you post when it's done.

You're off to a good start, Raul. Whoever gets this gun will be mighty proud to own it. Keep up the good work.

Raul----Lookin' Good!

It appears that the screws for the backstrap are "chewed up" from a ill-fitting screw driver.
Cleaning them up will be worth the effort and enhance the over all appearance. (If you're going to do that, take a few minutes and engrave them too.)

Raul,
The Colt looks darn nice! It has a nice period look to it too.
It's hard to tell from the photos but perhaps you could make some of your major cuts a bit wider to add a little more flair and dimension. It doesn't take a lot more time and adds a lot to the overall effect.
The layout and cuts look real nice. Gonna be a pretty gun!

Screw head engraving

Hi
Brian Powel mentioned the back strap screws looked a bit less than perfect. Getting screws chewed up is a big problem in watchmaking also. There's something called a screw head lathe--its actually just a hand turned polishing tool--that we use to clean up screw heads. Also, screw heads clean up very quickly with a Dremel also
.

However what really caught my eye was Brians suggestion that the screw heads be engraved.

I'll bet this is something that would also look good in a watch too. Could some one show me some examples of engraved screw heads? I've never seen one.
