Announcement: new to the forum

Hello everyone, I am new to the forum, I live and work in Okinawa Japan and am new to Engraving. I would like to say thank you to all for there input in the forum, it really helps when the internet is my main learning tool for Engraving. there are no engraving schools or instruction here in Okinawa that I can find. so again thank all of you and I look forward to reading you post.

for now I think most of what I need to do is keep practicing. I find my self rolling the graver tip to the side when I am cutting a curve and my depth control needs much practice. some of my problem I know is i need a better work surface than a flat table. I havent worked out a turntable yet and I only have a small Brady block that I have been holding practice plates with bees wax. I still need to order moore tools but I have been reading all the blogs and watching the videos to figure out what would work best for me before I spend the money.
