One million page views!

The Cafe celebrates its one-millionth page view today! Thanks to all of you who make this forum a pleasant and informative place.

Our winner is Andrew Biggs who guessed May 21 as the date we'd hit 1,000,000.
John B also guessed May 21, but Andrew's guess came a couple of days before John's (does this mean we have a tie?). Below are the dates and times of their posts.

this surely is an incredible thing to ponder. there must be somethin good here, i'm almost certain of it. information, fine fotos, interesting people, what else ? if this forum can be called a "place", then i'd say it's just a real nice "place" to visit ! to sam, tira, and anyone else keeping these fires burning, congratulations and thanks !

Wow! One million in a little over 6 months. I bet the next million will come even faster! Thanks to all those who participate. I feel like a mother bird watching over the nest many times... watching, waiting, nurturing, and finally another milestone hatches! It's been a great 6 months for me and I'm so proud and honored to be a part of the cafe. Thanks especially to Sam and Abigail who have let me tend the cyberspace.

Just think back 10 or 15 years, if someone tried to explain this to you- an online discussion forum on this subject which was viewed 1M times in 6 months. Would you have believed or understood?

i can clearly remember in the spring of 1989- right about now- you could not have given me one of those #$+@*$^> ing machines called a computer. in september of that year i bought my first one. what changes have come about for me, remarkable, to say the least. being able to xchange photos and information with others i think is the greatest feature for me. how else would i ever get to exchange ideas and thoughts with the likes of all who hang out in this "place" ? i don't know-- is this a "place" ? it must be, for i am here.

One million page views . Now that really is something, and in such a short space of time. The biggest winners in all this is the cafe members. Sam, Abigail and Tira through a lot of hard work have created something very special that we all get the benifit of. Friendships are being forged all around the world, ideas and knowledge freely shared about engraving and whatever people fancy, even funny looking shoes from Kansas!!!!!

Sam, Abigail and Tira, we all owe you a very big debt of gratitute. Congratulations, well done and thank you.
