Tira has a new engraving machine called the Pulse Graver. It does not use an air compressor. It is fully electronic and the settings are programable, exactly precise and have 8 programmable presets. I have one and I love mine but it’s better when Tira explains it.

There have been some questions about the machine how I like it and how it works. Tira had an great webcast this morning going over the machine, engraving with it and answering any questions. It was almost like being there for me and I learned things I did not know.

One thing I have wondered about, is how much temp gain is there on the handpiece while in use.

Not much ......... it generates heat but it is built heat resistance materials and has vents so it is comfortable even engraving for hours straight. The machine is well thought out.

For a couple of years now, I have thought that a small hand piece graver could be built using the latest technology of rare earth magnets.

Does this "pulse graver" use rare earth magnets?

This is my theory on how the Pulse Graver works. The Pulse Graver is controlled by an electronic pulse board. The graver handle uses the power of an electric magnet being activated and deactivated by the pulse board creating a hammer effect by a piston.

what is the maximum hits per minute on the Pulsegraver? Also, anyone who has used the Enset and the Pulsegraver, can single hits on the Pulsegraver be set to high power hits that are as strong as in the Enset? On the Enset one can increase compressor pressure and adjust handpiece dial also such that each hit is very strong. I prefer those hard single hits when stone setting bezels compared to multiple lower power and shorts hits.

$2250 but they are 6-8 weeks behind in production with the current demand so they are discounting them to $1950 while they are behind.

STEEP!! Some of the other air assisted models can be used with bottled C)2. Can this model be operated by battery?

Hello! 3600 - (not 36000) strokes per minute on the PulseGraver is the top speed at the moment. And yes, you can adjust the PulseGraver for high power single hits AND save that setting as a preferred setting so you can get back to it every time with the touch of a button.

The enset uses solenoid and a pulse circuit. Very simple but effective system. See attached photos. I would like to see and know what’s in the pulse graver.

Really Monk ........ a toy ......... why don’t you try it before you disparage it. I have the GRS AT and most of the Lindsay engraver systems and the PULSEGRAVER out performs all of them.
