What is the best way to resharpen round graver blanks? I have some round carbide and the first time is no problem but indexing for the next is hard to do. Grind a flat on shank is my only thought?

I have used Cennenial carbide round .125's for a number of years, 3"long. Any defining facet, that has suitable suface area can accuratly be indexed to the lap every time. after you set the 1.25' PROTRUSION leave the set screw slightly, slightly loose put it on the lap and "snap" you will hear the face, I like long side flats, seating on the lap........tighten and your good to go. Now the grs fixture I'm still working on. Rob

sorry............one little point, take the set out of the holder and file/grind/lap, flat, do away with the traditional cone shape, it make the burin shatter and stick.
