Wow, we were in Jamica 23 years ago, but I didn't see any iguanas near that big. May be one of those grew up into Sam's friend. We are thinking about going back this winter, but if I see one this big I leave it alone! I had a friend in the military that was an instructor in tropical climates. He told me that he picked up a big reptile (not sure it was an iguana) and as he was holding it it did it's buisness on his shirt. Needless to say, the students got a big laugh out of this. He also got bit by a tarantula too! I hope Sam came away clean from his adventure! Where did you guys stay!
Hi Steve,
We stayed in Montego Bay and had a wonderful vacation. Ofcourse, they drive on the wrong side of the road over there, and the speed limit signs seem to be only a 'suggestion' instead of a 'law'. Also, if you want to 'pass' on a hill, or during a curve in the road, it is "No Problem, Mon". Phew! It was scary!
The people were very very friendly, the weather was fantastic, and the country was just beautiful.
I even got to swim with a couple of dolphins. It was awesome.
Time for you to go back, Steve!
Abigail
