SCI 50th Anniversary Project

I'm working with John Bolliger (Mountain Riflery, Pocatello, ID) to create the showcase item for SCI 50th Anniversary auction - to be held in Las Vegas, January 2022. We are producing a combination Rifle & Sidearm cased set. I will be receiving the rifle parts from John soon, but meanwhile, I've been working on the Colt 1911.

This 1911 was produced in 2011, the 100th Anniversary of the Colt Government Model. I have used the Colt to establish the scroll style that will be carried out on both firearms. The general theme will be based on North American Game Animals. I started with the elk on the left panel and I have preliminary sketches in-the-works for a Rocky Mountain Big Horn on the right and a grizzly on the top. Both the Colt and the rifle will also carry the SCI Logo and 50th Anniversary inlays to complete the projects.
