I just cleaned up didyoungs sketch in PS( lower the opacity & flow of your brush then paint over to your liking, it will leave a faint outline) pencil in the sketch, ink the outlines, pencil shading. I use this a lot when practicing. When I draw a scroll design I will do this, I can rework it without starting all over. It basically saves me a little time.
