as a moderator, i have the legal right to say who did the best job ! twas andrew biggs. tho his fotografy is lowsie, the letturing is virtually perfeck.

Well Monk, i think you're right. Andrews lettering-style is great (never saw anything that compares to it). Though i'd like to show my efforts to this topic (i think i did some time ago?).

Dear Masters,

I am not sure if it is a script but maybe this is not a block.
Please forgive me these poor quality photographs. I do not have a good microscope. I almost did not see anything while working.

Inscription: Polska (means Poland in Polish).
There was still some free space so I add heart.

A diameter of silver rod is 0.48 mm.

karol: it's never too late. but don't you see the level to which our beloved landlord will stoop-- just to avoid buying the beer !!?? just look at the money he has saved ! if i won, for example, sam would have to work 2 full shifts just to keep me in beer for a day !

As far as I know, Brian Hochstrat is in the lead with traditional engraver's script, which is what the goal was when I started this thread.
