Hi: Does anyone know if the stainless Tisas 1911 is a good pistol to engrave or is the Tisas stainless miserable and would not be a good choice. Thanks...Gene

Thanks for the reply. I know my gun was not on the list, I checked already. I am looking for someone who done the slide for a professional opinion. Thanks...Gene

Make a test cut under the slide, but beware of spot hardened areas around the safety and slide release slot. Let use know how it goes.

I'm not experienced enough for the correct feedback I'll get from a test cut in the slide. These pistols are hardened first, then machined to prevent warping. I will say that I'm a machinist and these guns are machined beautifully. What I did do was contact the importer and asked if I could buy a defective slide or part of a slide but they never got back. Typical new generation Americans, don't care. I try calling them, we'll see what happens.
