As much as I do so enjoy contributing, I am spending far too much time on this computer. This is addicting like engraving. I have probably talked more in a couple months than I usually do in a year......... Give a kid a new toy and he might get irresponsible with it, right?

My blah blah mechanism has gotten way out of hand...........malfunction, malfunction..................so, now I am going to listen more and talk a bit less.........I hope!.......... I learn more that way anyway.:) Fortunately, I am going to be starting on some projects soon, (that'l get me off your back) :) and that will keep me in lockdown for a while...............oh no! not computer detox!

Now you guys remind me if I get out of hand again, okay?.................Ron S

I haven't learned like Andrew, how to do the computer and engrave at the same time, but I'm working on it. Ha Ha ha .........any words of wisdom from you computer literates who have control of themselves?.........Is there anywhere computer junkies can go to get cleaned up, or am I a lost cause??????????..............yeoww
Do you guys have this same problem or is it just me?

You are so funny. Don't go away!
But, I think admitting you have a problem is the first step. Isn't that how it goes?:D
Cheers!

Ron, I don't think you could ever add too many posts to the forums. We are all very happy to have you here with us and hope you will continue to pass on your knowledge so that we may continue to not only improve our work but also ensure the survival of this wonderful art form. But that's just my two pennies worth. David

Maybe an Engraver's forum addiction corner should be started to help ease the withdrawals and assist in methods of multitasking.:D

Ron, this is such a world away from our early days when there was no or almost no contact with other engravers. Now we have such an extended "family" it just blows me away. What a great time to be alive and well and in the right groove!!! You can't back off now for it is too late! Sam

PS...I do note you have surpassed my number of posts by a few...

Ron, We all have enjoy your help. You have so many years of experience to offer. This forum is great. A few years ago it was magazines and shows. No other way to inter-react with other engravers. This forum is the best thing that has happened for engravers and your input has been so valuable. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience.

Trust me, Ron, no one is mumbling "I wish that Smith guy would post less!" No one. On the contrary.

Please, do what you are comfortable with. I am 1/2 way through your second scroll book, and there is nothing else like it. It is IMPOSSIBLE to read more than a page or two without feeling an overpowering urge to draw, draw, draw. That is why it's taking so long for me, at least. I'll see a detail I like, draw it a thousand times, and put a page reference next to it, so I can go back in the book and find it again if I need to. Great stuff!

Keep contributing Ron. I enjoy your latest book quite often, and besides learning the finer points of scrolls, the wisdom of your years and experience about the artistic and spiritual nature of man keeps me humble. Please keep up the ramblings...they are treasures to some of us.
