Question: Zeiss Stemi 1000 vs. 2000

Does anyone know the differences between the Stemi 1000 vs. the 2000 models? I'm thinking of upgrading my microscope if I can get the right price. There are a couple of Zeiss Stemi 1000's up for sale. I think Sam said he had a 2000 and I wanted to know if there is a big difference between them. The listings don't really help much.

I don't know the difference either. I see 2000s on eBay occasionally. Mine are the 2000CS (trinocular) and the regular Stemi 2000.

Have you looked at the Leica?
