I have used an HP printer that uses #67 ink and it didn't work. It would not transfer. I cannot say which printer it was. It was very similar to my HP 5540. It looked very much like it. Next time I go to an office supply I'll take some things to test it for transfer.
Yes, my ink jet worked well until it quit. I have never used anything but HP ink. What number was the ink you were using? I have checked with Office Depot and Staples. They still carry the inks but the printers that use 61 & 62 inks are no longer in their stores. I don't think they are going...
The other day I put a post about image transfer. I mentioned three ways. There is a forth and I thought I would write a post about it. I have never tried it only read about it. The method involves printing your image on a laser printer and then gluing it face down on the metal. The glue is...
Search the forum. There is much information about transfers. I just put on an explanation on as how transfers work. It is important to remember that every one has their own ideas and methods. When someone finds something they like they will always think it is the best way.
Pictorico sheets that are used with an ink jet have one side coated with a material that will not allow it to smear. If you print on a clear sheet that that is not coated or if you print on the wrong side of a Pictorico sheet it will smear every time. Also the ink will bead like it is water on...
There are several YouTube videos that show how to make a pneumatic machine from a small compressor. I have watched the video and they seem to work well. Do some searching on YouTube and I'm sure you will be interested.

I don't putting names on guns unless they are historical. In whose hands will that gun be in years down the road? Will it add value or take away value?
In Issue no. 128 of "The Engraver" Layne Z. states in his article that, "the first order of business was to remove all factory lettering." This caught my attention because I thought that removing factory information was against the law. I know it is against the law to remove serial numbers...
Yes burnish first. It works but may leave a more brilliant surface. Just touch it up with either stone or paper. Did you polish the plate before engraving? If so, use the same after burnishing to touch it up. Just experiment with different methods to find what works best for you. I keep...
I just looked at the site I mentioned above. I Knew about it but never took the time to examine it. All I can say is WOW. There is so much information, lessons, sheets to printout, and over 50 rear books from the past that you can go through page by page. some of the modern examples they...
