    Shaping Gravers for special use?

I need to bend a graver for special use . I think Glensteel gravers are HHS and do not know if they can be bent and hardened and re tempered. Or do I need to buy some carbon steel for this purpose? Help.

    It has arrive!!!

I have seen this machine in action and it does a great job on wood and does fair on metal but looks nothing like real hand engraving. It looks like machine engraving. Under the scope it looks like bolino all dots, Not for me for sure.

    Need info

Sam. If I coat the parts at all I use cerakote clear or ceracote clear with some matte mixed in or Just renaissance wax them, Case hardened parts don't rust very well anyway. The bake on lacquer of late don't seem to work very well.

    Need info

I do a lot of case hardening but never case hardened a gun with copper inlays. I never have seen a gun that doug turnbull did with them either. I think what I will do is just take a piece of copper and run it through the process and see what happens. Thanks for the input. I have a hunch...

    Question: FEGA DVD´s

I do not like to critisize people's stuff on the net. However the other videos I mentioned are very good and much like Sam A's. Sam Welch's is one of the best I have ever seen in my opinion.

    Question: FEGA DVD´s

I have a lot of these DVDs from the FEGA including the ones you mentioned. I would skip [Bulino Engraving by Simone Fezzardi ] the rest of the ones you mentioned are good. The ones by Chris De Camillis are super and the ones by Sam welch are super also. Just my opinion though.
