    The examples shown look to me to be the work of Cicile Floimont of Belgium. She is a protegee of the late Phil Griffnee. Anybody who can do work on that level wouldn't need to move to Connecticut to find work as a gun engraver.

    Traditional heel versus parallel heel

    Parallel heel does not leave a burr in the workpiece so I use it for any work with a square graver. Traditional heel for onglet.
