This is a piece with a little bit of everything - some sculpting, some engraving and some bench work. The lady customer gave me an old (see picture, it's broken in some extend) wax impression of her families coat of arms. She wanted me to build it on a pendant made of Sterling Silver for her granddaughter. I have just finished it and like to show the result. The blackening was done with some sulfur.

Beautiful job, Mario! The side views really show the fantastic depth you're getting on this engraving. I like the nice patina as well. Bravo!! :clapping:

GREAT work Mario!! Glad you provided the close-up as it shows the detail not visible in the other photos.

Pleasure seeing it.

Mario,

Very nice pendant!

I particularly like the liver of surfur darkened negative space, and presumed you burnished this off the coat of arms?

In reality, were you able to get that pure black from the sulfur, usually I get at most only a dark grey?

Nice technique!

Rod
