Leland,No welding was needed on this restoration but I do have a friend who is a master welder and go to when needed don't know how the slide got pitted but if people keep leaving there gun's in holsters and gun case's it will keep me and my helper busy. J.J.

yikes ! those pits look kinda deep in places. looks as tho the effort was worth it !
