Getting started 2

So,. Following advice from this forum I went with the best I could afford. Jumped in with both feet and bought a Gravermach AT, Magnum ATSS and QC901 ATSS handpieces. Magnablock, and now have a complete power hone system. Plus a bunch more smaller tools to make life easier (I have saved four years for this day).
Last night I was assembling the hand pieces and found a shortage of information on all the pieces. I have a bunch of small screws left over!
Anyone know what they're for?

If there are multiple end caps for the airtact then maybe they belong to those. Or they are just extra in case you loose some.

now that you have all the toys, better set them aside for a day or two.; get yerself a good pencil. you will need it. learning to draw is as important as an arsenal of tools. good luck to you in your endeavor.

Yes sir. I've been using an Ngraver II for awhile now (all I could afford). Still have it set up and practicing with it... A good dependable tool. Been practicing drawing scrolls. Where I'm lacking is computer skills. Just found this forum a month ago.

no doubt the computer saves a lot of time. but, there are times when transfers (at least for me) are too time consuming.
i began drawing oversized, and then scanning the main part of the design. resizing in corel, then making a transfer.

Monk... Thank you! This helps more than you know! Now I've discovered Coreldraw! I've got to figure out how to transfer... Right now I'm having to much fun with the new gear! Lol

well, my thought is-- if i scan a drawing that i created, it's not "cheating" i simply think i'm working with my own creativity, aided and abetted by the computer. jmho

Right... It is your creation. I looked into Corel and do not have a system to support it yet. Maybe someday. I've got Diane Scalese's video on western bright cut engraving and at this time I'm just following her direction. My artistic ability is limited to scrolls and I'm hoping to expand from there. I see some of the work/art being created on this forum and am in genuine awe and deeply appreciative of the sharing/instruction. Thank you everyone.

The set is two discs containing 4-1/2 hours of pure information! She explains in detail each cut and why things are done a certain way. I couldn't be more happier. Next video will be on lettering and monograms. First I need to get some opinions on which videos cover these topics. Of course it's going to take me awhile to glean all the information off of her videos. Watched them twice now and still learning.
