Thinking of getting an iPad Pro.
Not sure if it will do what I need. I know that it has a camera. Can the photos it takes be used as a basis for drawing? Example: I see a sculpting of scroll on a building’s cornerstone. Can I take a pic, modify the image on an iPad so I can use it for an engraving pattern?

You can take a pic with the iPad, bring the photo into Procreate and outline it on a separate layer with a black brush, turn off the photo and print out your outline for engraving.
