You can split oak into two groups Red oak and white oak
The red oaks have points on leaf
White oak has round ends to leaf

Yes it is an oak leaf, but an American oak leaf as we call this. It grows here as well, but it was imported. we have another kind of oak in Europe, the one you see on engravings, is has round borders.
