Roger Bleile posted back in 2007, "In the absence of a microscope, the best thing I have found for inspecting the graver point is this pocket microscope..."
Based on that, I ordered a Carson 20x-60x Pocket Micro for $13 on Amazon. Wow, what a difference! 20x is perfect. I was able to spot a broken graver point that I totally missed with my $10 Bausch & Lomb 10x Eye Loupe. The plastic lens on the B&L loupe is not very clear. I know there are better quality loupes out there, but I am glad I followed up on Roger's recommendation and got the pocket microscope. Thought I would pass this along for anyone it might benefit.

Having trouble staying interested and engaged with the hobby.
GRS engraving methods and techniques with Don Glasser dvd It would be the best 39 bucks you ever spent on engraving. Shows many how to's and errors beginners make. I bought mine from the ngraver site I called in the order make sure you ask for a dvd. As I have read on this forum time and time...
