    Engravable 1911's

Rodsta, I recently engraved a Stainless Colt MK IV Series 80 - the slide was as tough as anything anyone would want to ever engrave. I spent nearly as much time sharpening as I did cutting. The frame was not nearly as bad. If someone wants another one engraved, it will be at least double the...

    Engrave-ability of Beretta 692 ?

Thought I would pass on the "information" received from Beretta - "Hello Gordon: Thank you for contacting Beretta Customer Support. The receiver of the 692 is made out of steel so it would be pretty hard. Any other information is proprietary to Beretta and not public information. Best...

There is a Beretta info request and I have initiated questioning them - http://www.berettasupport.com/service/pg_ask_question.htm and I am waiting for a reply I gave Cole's a call - they reported the Beretta 692 is not suitable for engraving . A woman there (with the last name of Cole) talked...

    Engrave-ability of Beretta 692 ?

Thanks Monk, I'm not quite sure where to start that search for how to contact the factory- guess I'll start with a sales rep or distributors. Do you think they will speak English if I find the number to call Italy? (I'm betting they will)

    Engrave-ability of Beretta 692 ?

I am looking for a relatively clean palate for engraving on $2000 to $3500 12 gauge over/unders.. The Browning 725 is "clean" but coated with nitrite. The Beretta 692 looks good, but I've no idea of how it might cut. Thanks for you help.
