I whole heartily sympathize with you and your terrific work on the Colt. You will eventually get the exposure and recognition you deserve for it.

It will be a while till i get everything sorted out. Will need to configure new and old photos. Not to mention reminding myself how to do it. It is a long overdue portfolio update. I will keep you updated when i am finished
Believe it or not, i am finally getting off my butt and trying to put some photos together for a new updated one its really my portfolio of work that i have on my table when I do a show it will be a while until i am done but its a start
Dan don’t put what you are doing down art has many diverse forms and styles there is an art and talent involved doing what you are doing especially when it is done well
Yes for different shades and also textures im not going for the finite photo realism.. i engrave the way I draw so I am sort of playing with illusions and showing the engraved lines more heres something Zi just finished its quite small on a K-22 Smith but enlarged you see my lines better...
Dont try and fix what you have start s new one. Same layout and engrave it again with the corrections you want. When finished put the two side by side snd see if you are happy with the result. Then go do it again.
Sam i have the same plate from Ray i did modify it by removing the felt and drilling/tapping a few holes in it I use this for the gold inlay hold downs that Frank showed us he uses.. so i made a few works great
