GRS blanks are shorter. They are meant for GRS style handpieces. You need longer/traditional gravers. Or buy GRS handpiece, they have them also for push engraving.

Round is nice for repositioning the working area to the centre of the vise. Also if you make some saw grooves about 1mm deep in to the top (cross hatched) then glue or thermolock will have something to grip.
You need to check the humidity in your room/workspace. Needs to be 40-60% to be good.
Maybe it is colder where you live and turn up/on the heat. This can cause the air to get dryer.
And when working don't forget to blink! It might sound stupid but when you focus on your work you want to keep...
Traditionaly beading tools were used by hand. The tool is inserted in to a wooden handle. That looks like a graver-handle. But with a hole the size of the beading tool. Then you would push and rotate on the metal burr you would want to turn in to a bead.

And the transfers are perfect using acetone. And baking paper.
But to prevent rubbing of I tried some varnishes. 2 flaked off when engraving. The 3rd a spray did not. But I do not like to spray because it gets also on places...
