I'm not quite following how one would use this. Presumably you've been using some sort of prototype? Do you have, or envision, some standard blocks made to mount on your base plate? Or would those be strictly fabbed by the user for their particular purpose? Do you remove the base plate from...
A fellow Cafe member has graciously offered to give me an older version (thanks!). If that proves insufficient, today in Office Depot I saw they have a Corel Essentials 2020 for only $130 that should more than fit my needs (assuming my computer can handle it).
Thanks, I'll check that out. I need the basic ability to import, resize, & position images on a page for another application, with virtually no need to really 'create' or 'draw' anything. It's so simple I could do it in any decent word processing program like MS Word or Word for Mac, but...
I have an extremely limited need for Corel Draw, but it's an ongoing application, not a one-time thing that someone can do for me. I've been told that a license may be used for two devices/computers. Anybody care to go in on a copy? Or is there some way to get a legit version without shelling...
sometimes there are slick tricks, and sometimes it's just the very precise, ultimate application of more or less basic techniques. i'm looking at that pic and thinking there might be nothing terribly complicated about it, maybe Jo just did a really, really superb job taking it to the extreme?
One other thing- All four of my heads were pretty much down to the "MIN" line and it took only about 2/3rds of a 24 oz bottle to bring them all up about 3/4ths of the way to the MAX line in the bubble. I could have easily gotten by with only one bottle, in case you're wondering how much you...
Got the oil from Werther and it LOOKS exactly like Jun-Air SJ-27 and I can't imagine it's sufficiently different to make any difference in use, so I topped off all four of my compressor heads. I'm sure it'll work just fine.
(2) 24 oz bottles @ $24.50 ea., plus $18 shipping (a bit steep), $67...
I've been using 1800 for some years now, but also switched to a carbide 120 graver about the same time, so that certainly had an effect on point life, too. The prevailing wisdom is that a higher polish leaves fewer incipient failure points for a crack or fissure to get started. I wonder what...
Oooookay, first update: Air Inc. now tells me it's out of stock and they'll ship in "7-10 business days", so I contacted Werther and they sell it for the same price. I cancelled my order with Air Inc. and ordered it directly from Werther. They said it will ship today and I should have it by...
I am taking a leap of faith that this is the same, or equivalent, stuff as Jun-Air SJ-27:
https://airinc.net/product/oil-15280/
Werther Panthers are very high quality Italian made Jun-Air clones, right down to interchangeable parts (I used to own a couple back when I was trying to corner the...
This reminds me of the film "Tim's Vermeer", in which a man, "Tim", recreates the mirror apparatus that Vermeer likely used to make his incredibly detailed paintings. I highly recommend it.
Step 1) Unplug it. Don't just turn off the switch.
Step 2) Bleed all the pressure out of the tank until gauge reads 0 psi.
Step 3) Are you sure the plug is the ONLY drain? If it's a factory unit- not modified by a past owner, it really, really should have some sort of a drain valve. It's...
so, Mr. Fiddler (IF that's your real name), how do we know you're the REAL "srf", and not the impostor, hmmm?
we're all just having fun here, so don't worry about it. maybe Sam- site admin & malevolent dictator- can sort that out for you...
However you enclose it, make sure it has some flow through ventilation or you'll have another overheating problem. you might want to search for solutions on covering/muffling air compressors for more ideas. i think John's suggestion sounds pretty workable.
