Great to hear. Technology changes and it's good to stay updated on what works and what doesn't. My old Canon uses T120 laser toner so any printer that uses that should work. Yours uses Cartridge 051 according to Canon's site.

I use a microscope for engraving and the Zeiss loupes for the hobby dentistry I do. I don't have a license or diploma but I've watched a lot of Youtube videos and I have to say I'm pretty darn good at it. I just wish I could get that stuff that makes patient's mouths go numb.
To clarify, the GRS EasyGraver fixtures are the easiest and fast sharpening fixtures made, and because they use a tool post, graver length is not a concern.

I have used polarizing filters on camera lenses and I believe the light must be coming from a 90° angle for them to work. I’ll put one under my scope objective lens and see what it does.
Expect to lose a couple of stops of light though.
Arno has reported that Brother laser printer transfers ok using lacquer thinner instead of acetone. That was awhile back so you might give it a try and see if it still works.
Wipe off with your thumb or the fleshy part of your palm. Using a paper towel, rag, etc, will remove the blackening from the cuts.
The most successful blackening is on deep relief engraving. Light lines are more difficult or next to impossible to blacken. Wide flare cuts are also difficult to...
