Yes I use the 116 for almost everything, including this. This one has a little more steep face.. I dont know exactly the degrees, but I guess around 50+ for a little more strong tip. :-) I use the bead setter, but the same 116 Universal template :-)
I´m working on my first titanium pendant. I believe it´s grade 2 and titanium is totally new to me. I was always a little afraid to try and turned down many jobs with titanium because I didn´t have any experience with it.. Anyway, this grade 2 cuts really well and is quite enjoyable to work...
I don't do gun engraving, but if you are new to engraving I would suggest it take quite some practice before staring on guns.. even though it´s not my business.
I have both the PC and Goliath vise.. both TrueCenter CamLock and they're really great, but they are hard to get..
The PC vise...
I think you are going a little too detailed on a relatively small watch. I’m afraid that the naked eye can see it a bit untidy.. also some shading of some of the leafs is a little strange.. I’m not with my iPad right now, but some shading looks a bit static and unfinished..
But I know your...
Looks quite amazing to me and a good technique. If something the under jaw is maybe a bit light compared to the rest or the skull.. but I think the composition with the scrollwork looks great! :-)
I didn’t read all the comments, but I have had several of my designs copied and used for engraving without being asked or mentioned.. I have seen my designs copied and claimed it’s theirs original. I have even been contacted and offered to buy my own designs from people trying to make money on...
many thanks! :)
Here is the dial that I engraved for the same watch. The dial was 0.8 mm thin, so it was a bit scary.. and even more scary, it was before I had a proper vise, so it was wiggling like crazy.. I really cant understand I could do it like that.. but worked well in the end. :-)...
Absolutely, this technique is not bullet proof.. but you should be pretty close or at least little adjustments. Of course it doesnt beat drawing directly on the piece. I often do that, but not for more complex designs or lets say watch designs that needs a certain symmetry :-)
I guess it could help too :-) But the idea is if you put the tape on a printing paper (In Europe it´s A4). and then scan the full printing paper, you should be pretty safe.. I think the most chance of problems is when printing as some home printers have some slightly differences and not always...
This is a knife I engraved a couple of years back.. it was my very first real gold inlay with 24k gold.. The knife itself was nothing special, but a good experience and a gift for my father.. :-)
It has as you can see different design on each side.. as it was beside a gift for my father, a...
Hi, if you tried to scan your gun in the scanner I think you misunderstood or I was not clear enough.. I have no idea of how that would work. :-)
When I say use a scanner is to first use the tape like in the video, draw a line around the edges, take the tap off and place it on a paper scan...
For the ones that have already bought my Procreate brush pack, I have just made some Dot Punches.. if you want to test them already now, they are in the private Fb group I made a link to in the PDF document that was in the download.

If you can use a scanner, it´s always a lot more accurate and easier to print in an accurate size . Especially for larger objects.. if your scanner in wireless, it should not be too much problems. At least not here.. :-) but you know, computers are computers.. not always perfect either.. :-)
