My experience with etsy ( I have never sold anything there) but it´s a lot of junk and knock off crap there.. for me it´s not really a place I look for good stuff, but it´s one of many sales channels. I used to buy cheap rivets for leather work from there.. If you put it on etsy, you would still...
Don’t think this is any specific style, looks more like someone not quite sure what they are doing or learning.. nothing wrong with that, but not sure if something I would use for inspiration to learn scrollwork :-)
Looks either laser or casted, or casted from a laser engraving.
I´d really like to have a turntable vise and a turntable one day too, but first some other tool priorities :-) I have tested a good turntable but not the baking trays, but I would be very careful not to get anything wobbly or things that makes the vise unstable with vibrations. I´d rather pay...
I don´t have too much experience with GRS so I can´t really compare but I have both the TrueCenter CamLock vise (based on the goliath) and a TrueCenter CamLock PalmControl vise and man, they are so good! :-)
For me it depends on what I´m working on.. knives and bigger objects I like the bigger...
As we know Procreate does not yet have any good tool for making text outline, which can be very useful when adding text to a design , but here is a little easy trick most of you should be able to follow, I hope.
I got a little help from Mr. AI with the voice over even though he still need to...
Thanks all for looking and comments! :-) I´m happy for all constructive comments.
Just finished this ring too.. casted gold was quite a challenge, but fun and turned out great I think, even though I was struggling a little with shading, but no one will ever see at real size. :-)
Yesterday I finally got the time to put my signature on the titanium pendant I recently engraved.. so I can say it’s officially done and off it goes to the USA again.
I also had a little fun making a new soundtrack for this video, so if anyone wants to see the process of the engraving and...
Scary.. I usually engrave stainless steel, then I did a titanium pendant and then jumping back to this gold ring.. Starting with the monogram on the face but still have to remove the background and add a little shading.. Phew, I totally forget to breathe.. :-) It scratches just looking at it...
It would be cool to have a titanium "grade" list if it exists.. or maybe there is more factors involved. I recently engraved something that says "Grade 2" and it was engraving so nicely.. but for all I know it can be different types of "Grade 2" so maybe one will engrave well and another not?
In the very beginning when starting with parchment paper I had this problem whatever I tried.. it got jammed in any way.. until I started to use thin masking tape. I use the yellow 3M.. I´m sure other can work too, but I have a lot from the leather working days.. anyway, taping the edges of the...
The mistakes you did during the inlay process can´t be seen.. at lest not like this and for sure not by the naked eye. Awesome design, looks great! :-)
I´m not good at all to engrave or even draw animals so I havent done many yet, but in general I would say it´s a weight/balance thing.. whatever would look more right in the exact design for the item is the best way to face it, but I think I normally I often think it looks more "correct" when...
I´m honestly not surprised at all.. I see this even in hand engraving groups on facebook and other places where guns are hand engraved.
Let me first say that I have nothing against guns and don't want to start a gun discussion, but in most countries here in Europe we have very different laws...
