for a hobbyist, who knows. if beginning to do this as a business, you have to account for all the time spent on a project. one must keep track of all expenses incurred by that business. postage, paperclips, thumb tacks & ----------------------. failure to take all this into consideration, you...
the lindsay sharpening system is compatable withthe grs engraving sstems. i own both. the lindsay is good, but the grs dual angle system is better. it allows any geometry to created. the lindsay requires a seperate template for each geometry wanted. i feel grs is a better buy, as it is a "one...
dont start spending money. cash will bring lotsa toys. a saying that has rang thruout the forum. " it's not the tool, rather the hand that guides and controls it. the least expensive tool, the common pencil, is as important as all the toys put together. there's tons of info here and on the net...
if you're going to start with push graving, i'd suggest doing the practice in a seated position. if you check on my former statement, a workmate or similar would be just about correct to situate your vise unless you wan to start tossing dollars out the window, learn to be a bit creative...
welcome to the forum. whether you sit, stand, or hang from a chandelier, you must work comfortably. neck, back, and shoulder pain will certainly be an issue if you work in any sort of

who the heck knows what i meant ? half the time my brain is asleep, the other half, it;s on break . i'm not offended at all by the chinese characters. it's just that sam, the landlord, posted recently about using english. i tihnk it wise to avoid irritating him. he may well up te rent.
the one has a "v"notch on the face center. somwheres i read that the notch would act as a chip
