Like the true center best, you still use the engraving ball the true center is a accessory too the regular vise and eliminates the need to push the whole set up around on the turntable. MTC YMMV
I checked Steve Lindsay site and it appears that he now has vises complete with the true center...
No still works fine and no need for turntable, just the rotation of the upper section of the vise. No need to slide the vise around and can still use the tilt. the combo weights about 55 lbs. I did have to lower the vise around 2 inches
I have the low profile dovetail vise, it was made so as to not affect the FOV too much. Unfortunately no longer made call Steve maybe he will make you one
I ran across a ad for the python ,looks like high relief and deep sculpted . Anyone have any idea who did the work. Or if it is hand or some machine or laser. Thanks Dave
To clarify Steve makes several airgravers one uses the larger collet. To the best of my knowledge, and he makes all kinds of collets for his tools . It appears from the info Doc provided that the GRS and Lindsay larger collets are interchangeable . Thanks Doc
No adapter needed Steve makes a airgraver for the bigger collets, and collets that will fit the original style air graver. Check out his site hope this helps or call him great service
You can make your own burrs from ones that got Dull by shaping them into a three or four sided triangular or pyramid shape
Tim Wells sells a jig to make them. Link on Steve Lindsay’s site under graver sharpening
