    same for me with the lindsay. the gravermeister still works as good as when i bought it. the year mr. meeks pubbed his book. it was that book that sorta made me buy mine. i've never cleaned the lindsay. the meister has had its' third belt. dang good track record !

    there's jillions of pine trees around here, but am loathe to try and burn off the volatiles. my old lady is kinda fussy about her kitchen. i once made mike du's transfer wax formula. sadly, i used the chapstick that had camphor or menthol in it. my wife still chirps about that !!

    welcome to this learning center. first off, i would practice drawing just the scroll spine or backbone as some call it. you need to create perfect spirals first. if you have scroll with flat spots or lumps, anything you add to that wont really be very good. there are many books and videos...

    if your gravers have a rather long heel, that can add to the problem. heels to be very short for tight curves.
