I just finished making castings to take to vegas. I did find the mold for the cattle drive snd train that msny have asked for and did a cast. Unfortunately the mold is shot and I cannot make anymore of this one. I might try sometime to make a new mold from a good casting snd see if I get lucky...

I have been getting many requests for some of my castings lately. Having moved from Colorado to Pennsylvania this past year my supply has been almost non existent and not even sure what I even actually have or can find.
So I am planning on making some castings from a few molds I already have...
I'm not sure where you are now located in the US. When I Iived in New York State, in the Catskills area, there is a very large strong Ukrainian community, Church and Cultural Center in Kerhonkson. My neighbors all belong to it and they were a very friendly supportive community. You might try...

metal, ivory, bone etc has been inlayed into wood for centuries. Look at the Pennsylvania long rifles that were made in your area. Many museums have online visusl libraries showing masterful examples of this.
of course there are many techniques that are used to accomplish this as the...
That is truly very sad news. I met Ray at the Hartford Gun show when he first started to market his Ngraver tool. We both had hair then. I was a beginning engraver and to find somebody who actually sold "real" engraving tools was like Christmas in July. Naturally I bought one of the Ngraver...
A good option for these plates would be to make castings of them and sell or give them out to people. Even let FEGA sell them along with all the other castings on the web page
Alen still getting accustomed to a whole lot of things especially an abundance of CO2 will pretty much stick within a few hours of home for now so dont think I will be at Scotts. Just hoping for everyone to do Vegas
Hopefully we will all make it to the annual FEGA meeting this year. Lee and I have been planning to present a joint seminar for two years now. will be trying to again this coming year
atually I relocated to south east Pa near my two sons and grandkids
When stuck I have coaxed the pin out by using tweezers from the outside to pull on the pin while using an Allen wrench, the bent end, to push from the inside. I’ve sldo had the spring get jammed in the hole
I hsve also had my vice get tight after cleaning. Make certain the brass pin is not rotated. It sort of wears in after use and if it does not line up again with its wear position it will not rotate freely I have found. Aldo don’t put it back in upside down.
Well I bit the bullet. I spoke with my Friend Aaron yesterday at GRS and bought a compressor. They are holding it for me. I will be picking it up on my way to Pa when I drive back from Colorado as I will be passing through Emporia
Thanks again for setting my head on straight
Funny you should ask about compressors. Im presently packing everything up for a relocation move to Pennsylvania and I will need a different compressor than the one I have been using which is a big husky that I keep in my garage and pipe the air to my shop. In my new place I will be utilizing...
